Geoff Achison & The Souldiggers bring an electrifying mix of deep blues, rock, and soul-infused improvisation to the festival stage.

Geoff began his musical journey under the mentorship of legendary blues master ‘Dutch’ Tilders, quickly establishing himself as a skilled lead guitarist, with a unique style. After completing his apprenticeship with the Dutchman, Geoff formed The Souldiggers and began to pursue his own vision blending blues, rock, jazz, country, and soul to satisfy an extensive appetite for music of all types.

Geoff’s first international break came in 1995 when he won the prestigious Albert King Award at the Memphis Blues Challenge in the USA. The win launched him onto stages across the USA, UK, and Europe, earning acclaim not just as a guitarist, but as a compelling songwriter and storyteller. His band, The Souldiggers, delivers tight, powerful live shows that have become festival favourites both at home and abroad.

Celebrating over three decades together, Geoff & The Souldiggers have earned multiple national awards and a place in the Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame. A natural entertainer with a wry sense of humour and infectious stage presence, Geoff keeps crowds engaged delivering world-class blues/roots music with heart, soul, and undeniable skill.
