Frank Sultana is the quintessential Australian bluesman. Stirring, dark, raw emotions that are deeply grounded in the traditional pre WW2 delta blues of Mississippi.

He has built a reputation here in Australia and overseas, as a genuine and authentic artist, the embodiment of everything that is timeless and real about the blues. Since his debut in 2011, he’s become a regular and popular fixture on the Australian blues scene.

In January 2023, he competed in the Memphis International Blues Challenge, and after 4 days of heats and finals that began with 160 acts from around the world, he became just the third artist outside of North America to win this prestigious event in its 43 year history.

This historic achievement has secured his place in the Australian blues music story forever.
He is an APRA award nominee and winner of 7 Sydney Blues Society Awards, for Best Songwriter 2023/24/25, Artists Choice 2023, Best Traditional Blues 2023, Artist of the Year 2023, and Favourite Blues Band 2025. He also produced and engineered the 2025 SBS Award Album of the Year, the Loft Sessions by Beretta Sullivan.

He has released over 16 studio and live recordings and has graced festival stages right across Australia, as well as New Zealand and the USA.
Frank has shared the stage with a who’s who of international and local blues legends like Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Gary Clark Jr, Samantha Fish, Jimmy Vaughan, Canned Heat, and many many others
