White Lightning play a mix of old-style delta blues, inspired by the likes of Son House, R.L Burnside and Muddy Waters, infused with the modern bite of bands such as The White Stripes and the Black Keys to bring the blues into the 21st century like no one else. The band is fronted by Sean McConnell on vocals, slide guitar and harmonica, and backed up by Benny Gerrard (Catfish Voodoo) on drums. The duo regularly wow crowds around festivals and Melbourne bars, guaranteed to get the audience drinking, and dancing.
